AI buyers pay for company records. Here is what they have paid.

Reported prices for company data and code, each with its source, so you know the market before you take an offer.

$5MGoogle, opening bid

$7.5MMercor, alternate bid

$10MGoogle, selected at auction

$12.5Mmicro1, offer after the auction

Bids for Spirit Airlines' de-identified company data in its 2026 bankruptcy, as of the docket on Sept. 11. The selected bid was twice the opening bid.

Smaller companies have sold for far less than Spirit

Spirit was a large airline with decades of records. The smaller sales we could check against a source are five and six figures, and few prices are public so far.

Price your code at one buyer's published rate

Pangea publishes what it pays code owners: about $100 per million source-code tokens and $40 per million git-history tokens.

At Pangea's published rates, before any review.

An indication, not an offer. We assume 10 tokens per line of code, which is our rough estimate; your real count may differ. Not every repository qualifies, and the rate could change.

What tends to raise a price

    • Code in less common languages, such as Ruby or C++.
    • Code with its context: the linked Jira, Linear or Figma records.
    • Full workflow data, such as related email, customer records and support logs.
    • Rare data that buyers cannot easily get elsewhere.

As described by SimpleClosure's CEO to Upstarts Media.

What to settle before you talk to a buyer

    • Whether your customer contracts let you license data they gave you.
    • What your software vendors' terms allow for exported data.
    • What you told employees about how their messages and records would be used.
    • How you will remove personal information, and who will check it.

General points, not legal advice. Ask your lawyer about your own contracts.

    How introductions will work

    1. You tell us what you hold, without uploading any data.
    2. We check which buyers take that kind of data and flag rights problems.
    3. We introduce you. Each buyer reviews and makes its own offer, and you can refuse any of them.

Introductions are not open yet. We are still setting up buyer relationships. The prices and calculator on this page are free to use now.
